Brief Facts:

Lead vocals, black metal band Mayhem. Often cut himself at live performances. Suicide, slit his wrists and throat with a knife and then shot himself in the forehead with a shotgun. He left a brief suicide note apologizing for firing a gun indoors. The first sentence written on the note was: "Excuse the blood." A bandmate made necklaces with bits of his skull.
